Cooler temps, car running great again
First, not sure if I should post this in problem/fixes, but...
Temperatures have finally dipped in the low 70s high 60s and the TL feels great again. Nice smooth power throughout the rev band. It's a joy to drive and play around now.
In the summer heat with AC the power delivery is someone linear. I have nothing below 2500 rpm, so I'm hard on the throttle pass 3000 rpm then it wakes up, but looses powere at 3500 again.
Also if I start at 1500'rpm, put my foot down 1/2 way I feel many power surges as it gets up through the revvs. Past 5000 it seems to get smooth though.
Not sure there is a fix for this, but I'm just glad the car is running great now.

Will you make it to the meet this weekend in Orlando?
I agree. I noticed that this past weekend when the temps were down. TL ran great.

I know exactly what you mean man. I get that problem sometimes too as well. I evene installed a AEM V1 intake ans same thing. It's fine once it gets over 5K butunder that it's very slugglish and it's just too much power by the time you get to 5K to back off to gwt it going just to get it to drive when it's in normal working mode. I am about to istall a XLR8 J pipe in the next few weeks. We will see if that fixes the problem. I guess some Type S owners don't have the ame issues. I know I am due for a transmission change.

The combination of cooler weather and resetting the ECU has my Type S running with a lot more pep too!

well, it's not like my engine is racking up the miles, I've been working from home for 2 years, so the TL now as 24,000 miles. Most where in the first year when I still was a consultant.
Steven, congratz on the moderator... I guess it's been a while since I was on here

There is no fix for it! Ive tried to find it for couple of years now, im ready to push it down the hill. Such a shame for a nice looking car like that. I cant wait to get into something else ...
