Which engine coolant should I put into my car? I just noticed it is little bit below the "min" requirement, and I am not close to any honda/acura dealership

if its an inch or 2 down just add clean water- not enough dilution to worry about

the real concern is where has this coolant gone?- it should never use any- just moves back and forth between the res bottle and the radiator as temps change- expansion of fluid etc
Make sure the tube attached inside CAP of res bottle is solidly attached-
they like to fall off and into the res bottle- without that hose the system wont work and may lose coolant from bottle
If thats ok, start looking around the floor under car- under water pump- and radiator edges - front of rad for rock hit etc
Pressure tester avail for loan at parts stores will simulate operating pressure and show leaks
good luck!

Any type of 50/50 mix should be good.

I'd top it off with distilled water. Mix a little coolant in.

Around five or six years ago, Road Rage posted some very good info about what fluids and products from Honda/Acura you should be using in your car and he gave the reasons for this. Automatic transmission fluid and coolant were two of them on his list. So I have two gallons of Honda/Acura premix coolant in my garage for those times when I have to add a little to the tank.

If you want to know his reasons (I think it had to do with seals and rust inhibitors) try a search or perhaps PM him for them. When you get your answers, do everyone a favor and post them if you would.

whatever coolant you want....it is that simple, my choice is the prestone 50/50...but keep in mind, you are paying for a half gallon of water!!

distilled water~

read the label on bottle- Approved for Acura is what you are looking for
Most are now universal and meet our spec- its something about silicates in the fluid iirc, have them or not..that would affect seals
