Cool Features

I am trying to gather as much input as possible of any and all the cool little features of the new TLs, so that people can learn them without going through the entire handbook. Although this will be repetitive info to many of you, it will be beneficial to others. If you know of any, feel free to add your input.

* Ability to roll the windows down with the keypad
* On the nav. screen, if you touch the arrow of your current location, it will take you to another screen with your exact location.
* Ability to adjust which rearview mirror to angle down when in reverse, by placing the tab on L or R. (or keeping it in the middle if you don't want either to angle down)

I actually think this is pretty cool as well. It's a small thing I mean Acura could of easily of left it out but it's their attention to detail (w/respect to design) that separates them.

This might not be entirely a good thing, but being able to program navi while driving...whether it be voice activated or actually using touch screen. My friend's Lexus truck while in motion will not allow you to program the navi. Makes sense if you're the only one in the car...but not if you have someone sitting shotgun who can program for you.

Fuel door??????????????? Your hearing must have quite an imagination. Perhaps you should temper your enthusiasm with reality. But it's good that you keep us on our toes and entertained.

Key Fobs programmed for seat memory, mirrors, climate control, radio stations, as well as user settings (lights, locks,...)

There are three 2nd Gen TL's at work, a couple of the owners looked over my 3rd Gen and all were really impressed with all the new features and amazed with the updated interior (instrumentation/climate/radio/...).

Well, I thought it was cool too...when I first saw it on my dad's '99 TL. It's old "technology" now.

Sorry, I am positive I heard that somewhere. How is the fuel door opened, and does it lock? Maybe it is locked when the car is locked and when you unlock the car the fuel door is unlocked. I am not sure though. Sorry for the excitement.

Radio stations? Hum...I tested that on mine and the stations remained the same.

The lock release is lever-controlled (i.e. - manual). It is not electric.

The 04s don't have the radio presets for the personalized driver settings. This is one of the small things they added for the 05.

When you pull the lever the door opens. The really cool thing is that the fuel cap beneath the door has a tether and little ball attached to it, which can be slipped into a notch on the back of the fuel door. This prevents the fuel cap from hitting the outside of the fender thus reducing chances of scratching the finish. Little things like this make a lot of sense.

This is more along the lines of security, but how does the immobilizer work?

Maybe we should start a "Things other people have said that the Acura can do but I haven't seen it with my own eyes" thread for all those rumors and speculation .....
