It continues with Island Acura

God damn it.

I really can't belive it.

I bring my car in to serivice to check the paint defect I had. Service guy takes the car in and looks at it then drives it out. They will repaint the entire panal to solve this problem. I will drop off car monday to get a loaner (will take 3 days) and say thank you. I head off to my car and low and behold, 2 sratches/chips on my rear bumber (looks like the guy backed up and hit something really lightly.

I go back in pissed off and show them it. They appolize and say they will fix it on MOnday to.

This is TRUELY F'N unbelievable.

Once this initial transaction is completed and my car is as I want it, I swear I will never go to this place again.

UNBELIVEABLE!!!!!!!!!

You really should write a letter to the president of american honda and tell him your experience at Island. It will allow them to see how one of their franchisers are treating valuable Acura customers.

The thing is that their service department really didn't treat me bad. They will fix what they did with no question. It just sucks. I mean, my car was virtually perfect (just a small paint defect that was paritailly hidden but it was a new car so I wanted it perfect). Now my car is worse.

Yes, they will fix it but it still just pisses me off.

You should've spoke to the sales manager. Your TL is new and it shouldn't have any paint problems.
I got my Anthractie replaced because of a paint problem. The sales manager at DCH Montclaire just asked me if I wanted a new TL without even offering to repaint it first.

Sounds like Acura of Ocean County in NJ. I bring my car in for its first oil change and tire rotation and the car is returned with dings in three of the rims. On closer inspection, you can see small nicks where the service technician (that's a very gracious label to put on this guy) hit the rim when inserting the lug wrench. Dealer service manager tells me my wife did it on the way home from the shop; a helluva trick to get both sides of the car on one ten-mile trip home. Called Acura and they said it's a dealer problem. So much for upscale service for your upscale car....

Careless car jockeys are another reason to change the oil yourself. You never know which high-school dropout turned wannabe f1 driver you're handing your keys over to.
