Why TSX is cheaper, but got more stuffs???

Like the silver window frame~ Silver door handle~ side mirror signal lights~

made in Japan~ and so on...

TL cost more money and has nothing... just don't understand their logic ~

 

Start with the engine first.
TSX- 4 Cylinder 200 HP
TL - 6 Cylinder 270 HP

DVD-Audio, Bluetooth, better rims, plusher interior, interior/exterior size, Real aluminum interior, Best DVD Nav on the market (IMO), and you can speak to damn thing.

Thats for starters, but Im sure others on this site will elaborate further.

TSX is a great car, but you cannot compare it to a TL.

 

I will give you the two biggest differences IMHO
3.2L v6 cyl vs 2.4L I4 cyl
24 valves vs 16 valves

which equals
270 HP vs 200 HP

Then throw in Bluetooth, 5.1 Audio...

 

They are two entirely different cars, designed to compete in different categories.

The TSX is a 4 cyl that is designed to go against the Nissan Altima, 4 cyl accord, 4 cyl Camry, etc.

The TL is really designed to go against cars in the "near-luxury" segment: G35, BMW 3 series, Mercedes C-Class, Lexus IS and ES, etc.

The differences mentioned in the previous post really underscore why the TL is more expensive, but still the best deal on the market in its class.

Those who are in the market for a TL generally will not look at a TSX because they are looking for more power, more room, luxury, and performance. Similarly, those in the market for a TSX are looking for a car under 30K that delivers performance with a good number of standard features, while still getting the economy of a 4 cyl.

Acutally from my experience many people who look at the TL also look at the TSX. I've taken numerous people out to compare both vehicles. Some say they feel completley different while other only note the power difference.

BTW the the first few TL's that first came out said on the window sticker "sidemarker lights on the mirrors." We guess that it was something that Acura planned to do, but never went through with.

 

i didn't compare them.... i just wondering why tsx has, tl doesn't... it should tl has those things, tsx doesn't....

Both of them are good cars, and TSX isn't exactly right under TL. These two are just two varied beasts designed by different teams and nationality.

the nav on the tsx and the tl are the same. in fact they nav system is the same for the accord. there was a post previously where someone extracted the contents of the dvd rom and changed the boot image to the accord image and had different features loaded into the nav.

Look at the Civic. The LX has all that Chrome Window border crap all over it and makes me sick when I see it. The EX meanwhile, which has the same luxury options but a better engine (at least back i the 98 era when I bought mine) doesnt have all the tacky stuff on it.

The TSX Has Side mirror Blinkers because its easier to slap them on there than to have to punch an extra hole in the quarter panel to put in an actual Side marker light.

TSX is made in japan because it more closely resembles a Euro Accord, and Marysville OH is wayyy busy.

If the TSX offered a V6, you might have a leg to stand on.

3 things I wish our TL had that the TSX had is the Chrome window frame and side mirror signal lights and it is made in Japan. Other than that, I am very happy with the car!!!

 

I am a blue-blooded NYG fan that happens to now live outside Philly. I can't and will not bring myself to root for the Eagle. However I agree with people here, when I go to games I don't wear any shade, hue or likeness of blue. I prefer to wear neutral brown!
