Comptech Exhaust Pricing???

Why is there a $200 difference between the TSX exhaust (http://www.comptechusa.com/store/230050.html) and the TL exhaust (http://www.comptechusa.com/store/product411.html)??

They seem to be very, very similar?? I am sure length is one difference. I don't think this warrants the difference in price. But then, they are the only ones that have control over product pricing....

because they can, and maybe b/c the demand wont be as high as it will be for those with the tsx.

To tell you the truth, why put 1000 dollars in the exhaust while u can get universal muffler and then get a custom made 2.5" piping from cat to muffler. The Universal and Comptech output is not a big difference. I got a OBX 4.5" N1 muffler and did 2.5" piping from cat. Not to brag, but it good enough for me, only deep v6 tone too. I can feel the power increase differences, too. So your choices: $300 or $1000?

i actually considered just doing the custom route since the pipes underneathe are pretty straight. $300 would be more than enough to complete the set. i dyno the car before and after to prove them wrong.....huhahahahahah

Do you have a baseline dyno number? I'd be interested in seeing the difference.

Our TL is advertised as making 270 hp at the crank. I was asking for baseline wheel horsepower. I have seen on vtec.net figures for the 6MT around 224 whp.

The only reason I asked was because (IMO) it is more worthwhile to have a base number before mods, so that you can see how much the mods helped or in some cases hurt. You can't always compare it with other people's dyno figures because there are variances between your car and theirs, altitude, type of dyno, etc. etc.

Either way, not a big deal, I was just curious.
