Thumbs up Complete Fluid Replacement

Some background: I bought my TL at the end of September, and I noticed all the fluids are pretty low. The transmission is in great shape, the timing belt was just replaced, etc. I've been putting of replacing the oil, AT fluid (I've got a 5AT), engine coolant, etc because I've been trying to figure it out, but alas, it snowed today and I want to get it done before the hell that is winter in northern Utah arrives in full swing and I get screwed somehow.

I already know what brand of oil and filter I would use, but my main question was the best way to go about flushing out all the other fluids so I know what's in the car (and not mixing different brands/kinds by just topping them off). I asked the previous owner and seeing that they were a bit older (and took great care of the car), they have no idea what brands or kinds of fluid they put in there.

Should I just take it to a service station and get all that done, or try to do it myself? What should I expect to pay? How long should it take?

Thanks in advance

You might try buying a mitivac... I used mine when I first got the car to do the breaks.

Just do a 3x3 on the tranny... there's a drain plug on the bottom and a good writeup in the 3g garage.

There's a drain plug for the radiator and the engine oil (obviously).

DIY is VERY easy for these changes... don't get ripped off by the dealership.

diy ps fluid and brake fluid- 100 bucks each at shops

see the Garage section here for all the DIYs and decide what you can do yourself or with a buddy
Brakes are very easy to flush fluid with 2 person old school method of brake bleeding- pump pedal and hold -open bleeder etc
Note- place a 2x4 under pedal so brake pedal only goes 3/4 to the floor- that keeps it in the normal travel range and protects master cylinder inner oring seal

your owner book has diy on coolant
