Color combos . . . a question/poll

Hey everyone-

Well, in the process of ordering my new TL. I have a question/poll. I want the nighthawk black pearl exterior, but I'm deciding between the parchment and the ebony interiors. Can you all give me your 2 cents?

A somewhat related question is this, owners of the Ebony interiors, do you notice the interior being overly hot?

Thanks in advance.

Have NBP/Ebony. I use a sunshade when I park. The A/C does a really good job of cooling the vehicle down. I love my color choice and would choose it again in a heartbeat...

Be prepared...others will say your butt will get toasted but having been in other leather vehicles before (parchment, light blue, gray) I can honestly say I notice no difference. It gets hot just like the rest of them...

You also have the option to use your keyfob to bring down the windows and sunroof to let the air escape before you get in...

no real difference in temperature between the parchment and ebony. both will get hot, its not like the parchment will be so much cooler that its comfortable to sit on. i personally like the ebony for the looks. also when wrinkles form its easier to prevent dirt from showing.

I have AM with Ebony. While all colors are beautiful on this car, I really love the way the
ebony leather with black carbon fiber with aluminum looks on the interior.

My current car ('00 Galant GTZ) is gray leafther interior on black body. Personally, I've always preferred black on black or black on gray. Sure, black exteriors require more work to keep looking nice, but nothing says style better than a clean, waxed body with black leather that's been taken care of. Hot behinds notwithstanding!!!

I live in the Desert and preferred Parchment over Ebony (although I love Ebony). Our 115-120+ summers can do a number on Ebony seats and yes, the lighter color of Parchment makes a notcieable heat difference out here. Plus, my exterior is WDP and Parchemnt looks the best to me.

I know that a few people mention that dust is more prominently viewed on Ebony, as with any dark color. However, I am noticing that my Parchment is no better for hiding spots.

In the end, just consider the pros/cons of each color and go with your gut preference. That is what I did. Remember, you will be in that driver seat for the next few years not anyone else. Enjoy your car whatever color combo you get, it is awesome!
