Cold Start - Chicago this morning
Good Morning folks!
Had a bit of scare this morning around 630am with my 04 TL. The wind picked up last night and my car was parked outside on the street. Although it wasn't cold this morning high 40's (I'm from Canada...so this isn't cold , the car refused to start. I cranked it 3-4 times, and it would attempt to start, but would die out a few seconds later. The starter seemed fine, the engine was turning over quickly - and I think the battery was ok as all the engine lights were on. On the 5th try, it finally started - with hesitation, and a shudder/shiver - hitting the gas (after starting) got it up and going.
I've read several post's which point to either upgrading the battery, adding fuel additives, or even checking out fuel sensors, etc...has anyone else had this problem? And if so what was the solution?
My vehicle has 50k, it just went out of warrenty. Look forward in your responses. Thanks.

It sounds like the battery is going dude. If its the factory battery, it may be time to change it out, as our factory batteries are pretty craptacular. I too am from chicago, and started up my 06 at 6 am. It cranked over slowly, but in one try.
Under the hood, does the battery still have the "green eye". I mean, it may now, since the car started, but tommorow, i would check to see if the "green" charge indicator light is lit before starting up. You cant miss it.
If you would like to try, i would say, do a Chevron Techron treatment to your car. Some may say it time for the ole Seafoam, but its too cold for my likes to be doing that now, lol.
Best of luck to you dude!
