Coasting in TL

I posted this in another thread but it didn't get any attention. Wondering if any of you have noticed this and if it is normal or not...

When you take your foot completely off the gas in the A/T and you are going down a hill, you won't speed up.....

Every other car I have had I usually speed up to the point where I need to be on my brake the entire hill. This one seems to hold back and keep me at a constant speed.

Is this normal?

SIDE NOTE: One thing I'd change....Accellerator is not sensitive enough....Really have to press it way down to get going.

FOUND IT on the main site.

Grade logic control system in the transmission....

Pretty cool feature! Saves on those brake pads that's for sure!!!

AzNxJ32 - We're happy to cut you slack for your age. On the other hand, you get no slack for posting in lazy teenage chat-talk style that barely makes sense. Try sentences, phrases, or some other approximation of actual English. Don't worry, your fingers won't fall off.

What do you mean "BARELY" made sense? That post made absolutely no sense at all!

After reading two "u knows" in one short post, I have decided that the Canadian "eh" isn't that bad. At least it takes less space. By the way, in what part of New York do they use this dialect?

Agreed. NO SENSE!

Oh, and by the way....speaking as someone who was almost killed because of driving too fast when I was younger...you'll regret it.

May sound dumb now but weigh the risks. Is driving 70 on a back road as fun when you weigh it against being in a wheelchair?

I think English language is a dying art form as seen on this and many other threads at this site. More people preferrs to be lazy with lack of capitalization, punctuation, period, etc... Although it is hard to bare through the 'cuz' & 'u know', worst is when the sentences just run from one to another. I have seen this from working professionals as well as supposed college students on this site. I realize that my English skills aren't at the level of an educator, but I think you can all agree that some sentence structure goes a long way in communicating a clear and concise thought across. If nothing else, your language skills does say somthing about you as a person - IMO.

casooner90,

Well said. I couldn't agree with you more. I know I have been guilty of the said sloppiness at times but I really dislike reading post written in cryptic street slang only a middle schooler would be able to decipher. And on top of that, the lingo seems to evolve in meaning on a daily basis. What one word means today may mean something else different next week . Sorry but I just had to vent having kept to myself for quite some time. And I find this to be disturbing trend even though I am in my late 20s and am around a lot of young people. When in professional circles, people only laugh and ask you to please translate it all into "English".
