Clutch replacement

Is there anyone in the local Atlanta area that can do a clutch replacement for me? I was supposed to take it to my mechanic today and didn't because last week the fucking guy took my car for a 600+ mile joy ride. Needless to say I'm not going back. Who puts 600 miles on someone's car in under a week?

Someone who doesn't give a flying f--- about YOUR property. Have you considered filing charges against him and the shop?

I'll handle that situation when I talk to my attorney. Right now I just want a new clutch put in. It was low when I bought the car but that shit is pretty much on the floor when I picked it up.

have you checked the master and slave cylinders for leakage?
those are known and common failures

the TL clutch has a special system thats not part of the hydraulics-
it keeps the pedal feeling good right till the last day, so if you have low pedal I would check hydraulics first- is the resivour low?

If the shop owner or manager needed to go 300 miles on the weekend for something--like to a watch a car race, that would put 600 on it no problem
hopefully they didnt race your car at a track day!

If you had asked them to break in new heads and readjust valves afterwards- they could drive it 500 for you, but thats not stated here

the repair order is supposed to have the milesage at drop off and most have a ending miles too.

the TL clutch is pricy and labor intensive- anywhere from $1500-$2800 has been experienced around here

requires a special acura tool to install the pressure plate with its trick system,, is one of the install/labor issues iirc

Nothing is leaking actually. The clutch has been in the car for a long time and more than likely just needs to be changed. the only thing i asked the guy to do was change the timing belt, thermostat and water pump. i didn't ask him to drive 600+ miles on it.

I double checked everything to make sure there are no leaks and it is just as expected - no leaks. I don't think the clutch was ever changed in this car at 116k miles.
