Cloth front end bra for 2008 TL Type S

I have seen info posted on the plastic front end covers - but what about the black bra's? Trying to decide if worth the money and hassel for the "cloth" variety. I am not interested in the plastic... I am considering for my 2008 TL Type S

Any feedback/suggestions would be great - I called a local dealer and was quoted $169.33. Is it best to go with the dealer version or an aftermarket version?

thanks

If your talking about the black OEM Bra thats the one I have and they are great quality .. Most OEM are .. the cheaper aftermarket ones are just that ...

I run mine on road trips and through the winter.

^^ if you get a clear bra be sure to clean it or it'll leave a black line of dust on the edges

Thats why I wouldn’t be doing the hood or fenders. I don’t like the look of the cut off line, then if it gets dirty it just looks nasty.

I bought the OEM bra for my Type S-Love it!

It's not plastic and looks like carbon fiber.

yes it is!!! just remove it often and put some wax but if you let it installed for a long period of time it will scratch the paint.

Well, remember, the bra's are the first thing on your car that will catch debris. But that's what its there for. It's subject to abuse, but that's why you bought it to begin with. It's there to protect the nose of your TL.

My two cents, invest in the clear bra (3M automotive film) vs. a OEM cloth bra. Mine is now almost four year old and with the proper care, looks like new. No mess, no hassle, no damage.

What about clear bra all over the car?? then It'd be more like paint protection film, but IMO they're the same film(?)

Has anyone done that??

I bought my front bra for about $150. A clear bra for the front of a TL will be ~$700-$800.
