Climate control adjustment

Could've sworn I've read about this before but now I can't find it for the life of me. Anyways...

I find that I have to crack the temperature way up or way down sometimes to achieve heating or cooling. For example, in the winter I jack it all the way up to "Hi". Another example: yesterday I had to turn it down to 64 to get decent cool air flow, but today it was blowing strong set to 74 degrees. It seems that small setting adjustments don't do that much anymore. Thoughts?

I also had to adjust my temp to "Hi" to get hot air this winter but not always, only happened 2 or 3 times. Mine doesn't do it with cold air.

I also own a Miata but it's a 91, and my 05 TL is a 6MT haha. Small world!

Mine did this for several years and I went through all of the diags and nothing came up. I pulled the interior temp sensor to test it and after it got re-installed my issues were resolved for now.

I actually sold my Miata last year, just too lazy to update my sig. I loved that car and I miss it dearly.

Thanks! Searched for the interior temp sensor and found this useful thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...sensor-964453/
