It seems that you are not interested in taking the headlight even though you spent money to get the carbon fiber and paint. If you are reading this then kindly get in touch with me within the next few days. If I dont hear from you by early next week then I would have no other choice but put the headlights up for trade if another member is interested. Headlights have been tied up for about 10 days now since they were done.

Im gunna be purchasing all of the upgrades ide like for you to include with my headlights next weekend. Ill be getting a color match so Ill ship you the paint with the clear coat but I have 2 questions. Ide like CCFL rings but im not sure which fit and what model to purchase? I'm also interested in new HID bulbs that will go well with the Angel eyes kit...
Can you help me out?

Most people have been buying them from ebay

^^ Above is with single ring for 04-06 models. BTW I do not endorse the seller, thats the only place people have been able to find them. Mods can remove the link if it isnt appropriate.
As far as HID bulbs, well the bests ones on the market as far as light intensity is considered are the Phillips 85122+ D2S bulbs. The cheapest and reliable place on the net to find them is HIDplanet.

The website lists them being 5000k but they actually are 4200k (OEM).

Took me a few hours to read through the entire thread...a few questions:
Are we paying for shipping both ways with the trade in? And what are people paying estimated each way for shipping (I'm in NY)
Are there any Halo kits that have 2rings? or just the single ring?
Has anyone had their Halo's burn out?
Do we need to send in paint/clear coat for blacked out housing? or does JNC have a standard black paint that you use for that?

^^ Yes you are paying shipping both ways, shipping to NY is usually 10~15 USPS priority mail (2~3 business days).
Halo kits have two rings each headlight for 07+ models and for 04-06 they have one ring per headlight.
Halo burn out? Not sure about that since I personally have only used them once with minimal usage. If you do get them I suggest having a separate switch installed to turn them on rather than having them tapped into the parking light power supply. This way they would only be used when you feel like turning them on rather than being on all the time.
If you are getting them blacked out then I would use paint that I have with me.
Check the following post for some blacked out headlights I did over the weekend.
Halo kits have two rings each headlight for 07+ models and for 04-06 they have one ring per headlight.

Just one other question...I know this thread and the other one 'Custom headlight by jnc' are floating around....but what is the current deal? are you accepting new orders right now, or do need to wait for the list in this thread to be complete? I have an 05 and would need the trade in (cleared and blacked out...maybe halo's installed too)

Hey JNC im ordering everything tomorrow to ensure u recieve everything on time. I am extremely OCD so im wondering if I get a color match with a clear coat will the finish be more evenly distributed, with a smooth surface? Ill be getting a black out with halos but It seems like the actual color match comes out a bit more clean cut. But im honestly not sure.
Also, I ordered the chrome turn signals (thanks for the recommendation) but what bulb is that internal foglight? I cant seem to find it and I currently have that stock yellow color that doesnt even match my stock HID's.

^^Check with member aascsm if he is ready for it. You would have to send the headlights to him and he in turn would have to send his headlights to me after the install.
Nighthawk: Yes the color from paintscratch.com spreads more evenly due to the fact that its thinner than the one I use for blacked out headlights.
For the foglight I would suggest getting Sylvania Silverstar Ultras 9006 bulbs, they are not the smurf colored blue bulbs that you see on ricers but are bright halogen blubs that match the HID output color very well. You can either get them from your local auto store such as AutoZone, PepBoys etc or from ebay.

ok im pissed! i asked the seller of the angel eyes on ebay a question awaiting a response i never received and now the only auction is SOLD! i shouldnt have waited but I had to make sure it was right....now ive been looking for another distributor for about 2 hours now and I cant find any for an 04 TL. If you know a legit website I can order these I want to take care of this ASAP so I have everything to ship to u on time.

man it's insane how JnC was really just floating around the forums...and then to think just how much of an impact he's made for our TL ...so many ppl wanted to do this, were scared, and just ended up never doing it (myself included)

As far as wiring up the CCFLs, most people just hook them up to the parking light power supply to the 7443 bulb.

Anyone know where I can find the parking light wiring diagram. I found the install info for the 07 but not the 06. I have searched forever.
In this thread they mention the swith but my black is not even in the middle. Are the colors the same for the 06 and 07 but the locations is just different?

yea i never actually realized i had to set up the wiring myself afterwards... (lol i feel so dumb) ~ how did ppl do it for the 04-06's? cuz the more i read the older threads, the more confused i'm getting.

I have a question about the trade in program.
The Canadian TLs headlights are designed differently. In the DRL/Fog section of the headlight we do not have that thing in the middle [the Canadian model shows the entire bulb]. Also we do not use the 9006 bulb...
I cannot go without the TL so how will the trade-in program work for me?

anyway, JnC always said the real downtime is how long it takes to ship. the faster you ship it to him the faster he'll work on it. ~ if i'm not mistaken, he usually can get a few done per day, and it might also depend on whether or not you do the trade in method.
