Question CLear tail light legal?

So im planning to get my type s tail light clear by one of our dealers here. I searched for the laws for Alaska on clear tail lights but found nothing. Went to DMV site, did 3 hour research and found nothing on if its legal or not. You guys have any clue if its legal or not? Anyone been pulled over for having clear tail lights in any other state? I got LED lights for the back up, signal, and back up light in proper colors.

I believe that you will need to have some sort of red reflector in the tail light for it to be legal

From what I understand (at least in MN laws) - you do not necessarily have to have a red reflector in the light housing itself, but you do need to have a red reflector at each corner of the rear vehicle.

I know there are more specifics about size, placement, stuff like that - but as long as you had something reflective.

Here is how the lexus's get away with doing it:

If def should be legal considering that Pruis aka the tree hugger car is all clear so as long as you have the proper colors you should be fine.

Having red reflectors isn't a state requirement, it's a federal requirement. You should be fine as long you have atleast 2 red reflectors in the rear.

Just do it. Just make sure it blinks amber and brakes red and no cop is goign to pull you over for somethign stupid like this. If he does you tell him its the way the car came and 9 times out of 10 officers dont know and so they can't write the ticket, but I would be shocked if you did get pulled over for that.

I get so many compliments on mine.
