If you have the guts for it, its a DIY job. More details here:

Also, depending on area, some shops will be willing to do it for you (for a price of course).

Where are you located at?

I'm in Seattle. Didn't realize it's so much work to clear out your lights. Is there no other option?

you're looking at about half a day, its not a huge project, just basically dealing with the mental aspect of putting your headlights into the oven.

you can smoke your headlights with rockblocker if you want a different look, though you wanted clear so this probably wont do it for you.

yeah I definately don't want the headache, plus the idea of doing that to my 40k car that I just picked up last saturday, which now has 397 miles on it as of last night? isn't my idea of a saturday afternoon project just yet :-P so I'd rather find someone who's highly referred/recommended and have that person do it...

clearing headlights looks real good. but i'm just afraid of it getting messed up. i heard my friend did it to his hondas and eventually, water gets in and it becomes a bigger headache. not to mention the fact that va state inspection will not pass you even w/the DOT on it.

Yeah, I know VA won't bend on cleared headlights. I'm in FL now. But, if I ever return to VA, I don't want to deal with that issue at all.

I'm also very reluctant to try such a project myself, even with all the good info here. That's just too expensive a risk to take.

If I did attempt it, I'd like my lights to look like this. I wonder if this would pass VA inspection.

The reason your friends got water into their headlights is because they didn't seal it properly. If you seal the headlight properly, you wouldn't have this problem at all.

Hey, lol..that's my baby! Haha. I've since Rockblockered it with light tint to make it more aggressive. You can still see the reflector throught the film.

Can you post more pics of your car so I can see the reflector. Shots with and without the Rockblocker would be cool.

Thanks!

Thanks man. That looks great. I think i'd go with the mod without the Rockblocker.

I wonder if that mod would pass VA inspection. Still not sold on the idea of clearing my own headlights!

I see you're sporting Toyo Proxes 4. Nice choice!

If you are worried about messing up your only set of headlights but a pair off ebay and clear them, if it works out, great if not you still have headlights on your car.

Like subinf said, it is not hard at all. It just takes a bit of time.
