I wonder how much does the TL sell for in China (converted to $US). It does not seem a lot of people will be able to afford it ... perhaps maybe the mayor of Beijing.

they had to relocate the reverse lights because they use wider license plates in China. So since they had to move it somewhere, they moved it down ther and added red, i don't think its an actual brake light. The third brake light is still in the same place up top. The red is prolly just a reflector

I hope their taillights can fit the US 04-06 TLs without any major mod (just need red LEDs). I wonder if those tails are made in US or China.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the tail light from the chinese version TL the same as the 2007 TL Type-S tail light except the turn signal portion is cleared out? Would it be possible just to buy the US version and clear out the signal section?

i dont know about China but in Taiwan price of cars is rought 2x the price here. If a 325 is 30g here then it's 60g in Taiwan, there is an approx 100% import tax on automobiles.
There are no Acuras in Taiwan, and Taiwan is not a part of China. I don't think Acuras can compete with Lexus/BMW/Mercedes in Taiwan because of its similar price but much less prestigious reputation (in Asia).
You can find rough estimate of car prices from tw.yahoo.com if you're interested.

(SinoCast China Transportation Watch Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) SHENZHEN, October 23, SinoCast -- Japanese auto giant Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has brought its Acura into the Chinese market since the end of last month, targeting the nation's high-grade sedan segment.
It is the brand's first expansion outside North America. With a history of nearly 20 years, Acura gained sales of more than 230,000 units in North America last year. In China, the auto giant released two models under the brand Acura, known as "Ouge" in Chinese.
The flagship model RL, priced at CNY 680,000, is equipped with super four-wheel drive automatic control system initiated by Honda. TL, a major model, features strong power performance and bold body design. With a 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine, the model has a maximum power of 199 kilowatt and torque of 323 newton- meters.
Its guiding price is CNY 430,000. As the model is a new comer in the Chinese market, Honda is in no rush to achieve a big share for Acura. Instead, the Japanese automaker will focus on the image establishment of the brand. Honda promised to serve Acura buyers with four-year free maintenance and four-year or 100,000-kilometer repair, the longest term for free maintenance in the Chinese auto market.
In the franchised store for the model, customers can watch through glass how its car is repaired. In addition, the store is connected via special network with the technological support center in the China headquarters, which ensures a quicker solution to technological problems. The high-grade car is mainly casting its eyes to businessmen, which are often busy.
In order to save time for its clients, Acura stores offer some quicker service of no longer than one hour generally, including less than 30 minutes for repair. Honda is increasing its production capacity in China these days in order to back its rapid expansion. By the end of this year, its total capacity in the country is estimated to increase to 480,000 units a year from the 270,000 units a year at the beginning of this year. Acura is not the only model to expand from North America to China, the world's second largest auto market.
Now another Japanese auto titan Nissan is seeking dealers in China for its upscale Inifiniti brand, which is scheduled to start sales next summer in the populous country.
Lexus, the best seller in North America, is the premier brand under the aegis of Japan's Toyota Motor Corp., the globally second largest automaker. Its sales in the US take a roughly 80 percent in its total worldwide. In order to make Lexus a global high-grade brand in the 21st century, Toyota needs to expand its popularity in North America into other regions in the world.
Since the brand's debut in China at the beginning of 2005, eight models of the seven series under the brands have been introduced to the customers in Chinese mainland. This June Toyota pushed another two models, ES350 and IS300, into the Chinese market, mirroring the ambition of the Japanese auto giant to compete with BMW and Mercedes-Benz in China's luxury sedan segment.
Toyota plans to have the brand made in China, a source said, and its subsidiary Guangzhou Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. would produce its ES and IS series. If so, China will become Toyota's third production base for the luxury car brand. Now the auto giant is making Lexus cars in its Tahara plant in Japan and a Canadian plant in North America. (USD 1 = CNY 7.9)

I saw mostly Audi, VW, Hyundai, Nissans in China. The majority of them being VW. I probably saw some Accords here and there. btw, I was in Beijing, Wuxi, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai.

Yea, i think the car import tax in China is the same as Taiwan. It ends up doubling the price of the car.
