Check list buying a Used 04 TL

I know the basic exterior, interior, and tire wear. Is there anything else I need to look detail?

I'm having my eye on a WDP 04 TL, 52K miles, A-Spec Body Kit. Price: $20K

You guy think its worth that price or I should negotiation it lower. But there a dent near the door handle.

Hum, just out of warranty be careful. Run a carfax, check the vin to see if the (auto) trans needs the upgrade. Have them get the dent fixed. Test drive to check for rattles etc.

Ask him if he had the 'oil jet' recall done, check the rear ceiling third brake light for fabric sag, have the brake pads been replaced? Just a few thoughts.

sounds like a good price as is. kbb says $21580 (private sale, good condition, non-navi, auto, a-spec), althought many people say kbb is high.

You didn't say, who's selling it? Dealer or individual? If they're starting off at $20K, you might be able to get another $500-$1000 off.

With the exception of a few cars that have been repainted, I'd say almost all WDP TLs (and other brands for that matter) have a mismatch on the bumper. This is NOT a huge problem in my opinion. I have a WDP and with the slight mismatch on the bumper. I will trade a slight mismatch for potential hassles later with a non-factory painted bumper (pealing, fading, etc). It seems that the only person that knows about it is me- my Wife hasn't really noticed it even.

Last week, I was behind an Infinity G35 with its version of WDP and guess what? It had a slight mismatch on the rear bumper along with a mismatch on the rectangular/ugly grab-handle thing on the center of the trunk. As other people have noted, it seems that the mismatch is an issue with matching different materials with a difficult paint scheme. It's not just an issue with Acura makes.
Yes, I know that Lexus seems to solve this problem as I haven't noticed this issue with Lexuses. For Acuras anyway, I have noticed mismatches also with the DesertMist and even Silver TLs as well- just seems that WDP seems to get the bad wrap on mismatch bumpers mostly.

I'd say check out the powertrain, suspension, and interior for any squeaks or blemishes. Find out how the car was maintained regarding oil changes (was it by MID or mileage interval) and stuff like that.

The are at least 2 TSBs for that car, if not more. One is for the rear bump stops and another for the bluetooth module. If it is from a dealer have them replace those before you buy it.
