$38,500
I immediately asked myself, "Is the TL-S really worth almost 10 grand more for 20hp, wheels, and badging?"
Whenever I even started to calculate the cost of "bulding" a Honda performance model such as the Si, GS-R, and Type R, the stock configuration would always be cheaper and more reliable.
However, in the 2006 base TL's case, wouldn't you arrive at the same HP number with a CAI, pro cats, and pulleys and have thousands more to spare? The same for the Comptech supercharger -- you'd exceed the power of the TL-S.
Am I off-base here with this comparison? Or are the prices still not normalized due to the "newness" of the TL-S? Either way, you'd have to admit that this price discrepancy between two trim levels are much higher than normal.
