Cheap ebay spoiler is cheap.

It's been about two years since I got it. Started bubbling in one spot a few months ago then just spread to the whole thing. Now it's bubbling and cracking and peeling. Lame. I think I'm just get the OEM so this doesn't happen again.

other than the paint job..was there really anything wrong with the spoiler? ive seen paint jobs on new cars look like junk after a few years so 100 bucks isnt bad.

or if you want to try painting it yourself with some rattle-cans of matched stuff you could do that and learn some more about paint!

It'd be cheaper for you to repaint it at a shop or even diy. I got mine from ebay and paid like $80, it's been two months and lasts fine in the rain. It depends on who you buy it from, my guy was in taiwan user name was kyronik or something.

Hence the word "CHEAP". 9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for. Every now and then you run across a deal that is actually a deal.

I have had the same spoiler for almost 2 years now and no problems so far. If I remember it right it was from someone on ebay in the lines of spoilerdepot?

Mine is spiderwebbing and rough feeling... I'll sand it down and repaint it, no big deal.

Where did you purchase it from? thespoilerstore would give you a new one if that happened with theirs.

Just buy a new one, I bough my first at the spoliler store for 118.00 shipped and painted ,it lasted me 4 years before it started to buble up. I went to a body shop and they wanted 100.00 to re paint it. So, I just bought a new one from Taiwan for 65.00 shipped and painted. The only problem was that the one from Taiwan is half the size as the original. I dont care for 65.00 and most people will not see the difference unless the compare it to the oem.

the problem isnt the spoiler. It's the cheap paint that was used.

I got the same one, came unpainted from ebay. I took it to a shop, had it painted. I had it for about 8 months now, no probs whatsoever, went through countless washes

yeah i agree with everyone just get it repainted nine times out of ten its the process they did before they painted it not just the paint itself where the paint does not sit right due to dirt and all stuff like that just sand it clean it and take it to a shop and you will deff be happier if the spoiler itself is ok

dont risk buying a shittier one and being pissed just cuz u were too lazy to repaint the one u have.

Ya it was from the spoilerstore. I didn't know they had a 3 year warranty on paint defects. I'm gonna send them an email, thanks Champ!

thespoilerstore says they'll replace it if I mail it back to them, with $15 for shipping a new one to me. Sounds reasonable. Now I gotta figure out how to rip if off the trunk.
