Charcoal activated Cabin Air Filter

Yes, I have spend time searching for this, but came out with 0 results. For those who bought the charcoal activated air filters that help with odors outside, what part number/manufacturer was it and where did you buy it from?
thanks for the help

Good luck. I have researched forever and can't find one. Seriously, I've probably spent 10 hours researching it. I ran one when I accidentally ordered a 2G filter but I had to cut and tape it to fit. In a thread in the 2G section, I recently learned you can buy the activated charcoal at a drugstore and sprinkle it on the filter which is what I'm going to do. I can say for sure after running the activated charcoal, it's definately worth it. The car definately smells better. Now that I don't have it I've noticed odors like fast food stay in the car much longer. I've even thought about getting a Hepa filter for a different application and cutting it to fit.

I have seen it before on the old rock auto site, and I ordered one for my friend back in 2006 for his accord...

I would not believe it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. I also ordered from RockAuto what was their charcoal filter for my 06 and I got a 2G filter. I researched it further and was told that the part numbers were mixed up and there never was a 3G charcoal filter. Going to look at my old e-mails and get the part number I used and see what the deal is.

Keep us updated. Even though I just changed mine, I would switch it out if they send you the real deal. Maybe they screwed up and were covering their asses.

on the atp site they also say that the charcoal filter HA5 fits the 2004-2008 TL - TL-S too. I'll call em tomorrow morning and see if they really are charcoal activated...

ATP HA5. This is indeed the correct charcoal cabin filter for the 3G. I'm on my second one.

LOL. I don't eat in the car but if I get fast food and take it home, I can get back in the car a couple hours later and still smell it.

the book says once a year replace the cabin filter
With the air quality in some places- like contruction zones on your commute- check it sooner~
its cheap to breath healthy air!

Very true. I replace mine every 6 months and it's filthy. Probably wouldn't hurt to do it a little sooner.

yeah- you have it even worse than me- we dont get stage 3 alerts as a regular part of life~
The one that says the air is `unhealthy to breathefor all age and health groups`

Quick! put plastic sheeting and duct tape over the windows`and dont breathe!!!

Imagine whats being provided for the engine air- check that filter too- cleanable ones save money fast at that rate!

What's even worse is what we breathe around here. I'm trying to train for a half marathon and even though it's wrong, thinking of getting a treadmill and a good air filter for the house. It's just too bad on the lungs to train outside.

I'll take a picture at the next 6 month interval for everyone to see. I feel bad the the people around here. Even the house filter gets plugged every 2 months or less.

Next project is to retrofit the TL with a 3 part fiber type house furnace filter.
That traps all kinds of bad stuff that paper is not going too- - some are washable-
and there are ones with a layer of charcoal as part of it

Off to the home depot I go in search of this- use it in the house- may as well try it in the car.

Did anyone order from Amazon? It's funny how this cabin ari filter is set as a transmission filter. How weird.

Thanks!

I've used the filter from ATP for years on my '04TL. It fits perfect and works great if you replace it every 6-12 months.
