Dude, I did the same thing!

Get a scribe, or a fine point nail, and grap that little hook (the loop in the wire that is folded over the end of the glass), one side at a time.

Worked for me in a snap.

Negative on smoke-checking the fuse.

No other problems were experienced.
Isn't the fuse panel by the left side of the dash--accessable when the door is open?

This kind of reminds me of the Milton-Bradley game "Operation."

I would think that the domes and cigarette lighter are on the same circuit.
Just a WAG (wild ass guess).

Good luck bro.

A Potato a day keeps the $85 mechanic away

Old trick for broken bulbs: Take a hunk of raw potato and squish it down over the broken bulb. Then twist it and take it out. Good luck. :smackhead

OK.
I said F-it and grabbed some channel locks and headed for the backseat.
I approached my foe (possible) with caution.

I grabbed the left one first w/said pliers gently and tugged straight down--no luck.
Being very cautious, I applied a little more pressure each attempt--VIOLA.
3-4 attempts to success.

The second Aft dome bulb came out on the first try.

Kind of like pulling out a splinter--just the right amount of pressure and pull straight out.

Maybe electrical tape wrapped around each jaw of some channel locks,
would provide grippage.

Hell, maybe some elctrical tape around my fingers might help.

Hell, I could put a small drop of superglue on the tip of my index finger and--VIOLA!
Successfull integration of index finger and light bulb--HA ha!

Just keep wiggling them side to side while trying to ease it out. It took me about 5 minutes to get each bulb out. My fingers were killing me by the time I was done, but they look real sweet.

Elongating the hole by wiggling side to side--is not a recommended idea.

IAW the NSM.
