Newbie here, in the market for a 04-06 TL. Wife just checked one out and loves everything about the 3G TL except the blue around the gauges. Said that from the test drive and repeated experience that shade of blue gives her a headache (has for many years even 15+ years ago on a monochrome pc monitor). I noticed the '07 Type-S has red and tried some searches but didn't find anything current about changing these. Is the blue the same for 04-06? Different color based on options like NAV? Anyone changed colors? I've only seen the Acura.com photos so I'm clueless.

I've pulled instrument clusters before, but it was a 10yr old Volvo 850, not a newer vehicle. Curious to know if it is just bulbs or colored plate with white lights.

I know you guys love the blue and I probably will too when I see it, but wives and repeated headaches aren't a good combination!

no, i've not heard anyone of changing the color. If you don't like the blue I think you're stuck w/ getting an 07. there's no difference w/ the navi/non navi in the 04-06.

 

for non navi the 04 has a grey backlite for the center piece and for the 06 it has a BLUE backlite centre piece other wise everything else is the same
