CF front splitter???

Ok I have already picked out the wheels and exhaust system I am going to adorn my TL with and I am still up in the air between the RJ Body kit and the A-Spec but I really want a CF front air dam splitter like that which was offered for the E-36 M3 Lightweight.

Does anyone know where or rather if one is available for the 3G-TL???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
A

A lot of aerodynamic mods will have to be custom. There's little to no options for any aftermarket off the shelf modifications.

Check into a VIS Racing or APR Performance universal splitter. ~$300.

Just buy a universal splitter it doesn't matter which brand. Make it two piece however you wish to make it work.

ACCURATEin, question for you since your message box is STILL full... or anyone else that knows about the VISracing 2piece CF splitter.... How much is the piece, Will it fit my 07 TL stock bumper, and any mods needed or just bolt on?

Pretty much any "splitter" is a custom or universal part. They don't really connect directly to the bumper as it's a true aero part. They typically extend well rearward of the front bumper underneath and bolt directly to the chassis at the back (at or past the engine). Then they use little adjustable turnbuckles to hang the front lip below and in front of the bumper. The turnbuckles are then attached to custom brackets on the chassis that stick through the front grill of the car. The front turn buckles are adjustable-length, and the rear is hinged, so you can adjust the amount of rake on the splitter. This adjusts the amount of down-force on the front end of the car...

Yep...
attaching a splitter to anything other than the chassis is just another poser show part, as it's design to create downforce in the front... and you can't creat downforce by attaching something to a flexible urethane bumper.

I had it custom made that fitted onto the unpainted lip of the A-Spec kit. I also made the rear diffuser in CF as well.

just curious, why didn't you want to buy the splitters (1 or 2 piece) that you see in this thread ?

I didnt want any add on universal pieces. It is only PERSONAL preference, but I like to make things seamlessly yet cost a little more but something different and unique. IF I were to get the splitters, I would make it so it will flow in with the car.
