center console noises

I know about the rattles that ppl hear, but the noises I hear on my car come mostly from the center console. Especially near the shift knob and center storage area. It sounds like plastic creeking. It only happens in the winter months.

Anyone else have this problem and if so, is there anyway to fix it?

I tried doing a search, but found no results. Thanks in advance.

I think you can tighten the screws inside the console... There was a picture thread that i remember seeing but dont recall the name of the thread.

Csmeance is likely correct- sounds like it's the shifter trim plate. There are several threads, probably findable with a search of "creak" or "squeek," "console" and "shifter."
The fix was a little bit of teflon tape under the shifter trim plate; the 3G garage may have a guide to this fix: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84834

The dealer will fix this with foam tape. This is a common prob. and they should know how to correct it.
