I'm sure that you can take a heat gun/hair dryer to it and it will be off before you know it.

^^^ Yep that decal will come right off pretty easy with a heat and your finger. Use a little hand polish and it will look like it was never there.

I would just debadge the whole rear, leave the A.

There's a ton of threads on debadge methods.

i bought mine from carmax in oklahoma city. the carmax sticker will come off REAL easy w/o the use of a hairdryer. Just peel off and clean area then wax.

Be careful if you buy from them though. After i had mine a day or two, i noticed that my driver seat bolts were VERY loose. So were the bolts to my strut bar. The scariest thing was that 11 lug nuts were loose (enough to turn by hand). Just be VERY CAREFUL.

The service dept sucks too, so dont even think about taking your car to them...they have a bad rep from coast to coast.

That's funny because I had the opposite experience! BUT, you should always be very careful when buying any car.... especially a used one.

a heat gun, solvent, and a rag or towel, and your finger nail should do the trick...

I've done that for the past several years. No big deal, they do it all the time; just ask before you take delivery.

Thumbs up

buying a car from carmax will def mean you paid too much for it.. and most there cars come from auctions and average markup for car max is 3-6 grand profit your better off with the haggle battle at dealerships. my two cents

I had nothing but a positive expirence with buying from carmax.
They stood by the car for everything that had to be replaced and fixed before and after i bought it. I was even quoted 900.00 bucks to do a brake job from acura right after the carmax 30 day warranty ran out. I brought it up to the Carmax service department and they footed the whole bill.

It is good to hear that you have had a good expierence at Carmax Service Dept. It is very rare to hear good things about them. I am in the air force and i have ran into alot of people with mostly negative replys about Carmax.

because it's no haggle price and older folks who don't want to dealer with the garbage will pay it. TO the OP, just tell them to remove it. Also check out the thread in the 3G garage, what inspections before delivery of TL

I used to work for carmax and if the customer didn't want the carmax sticker we usually had it removed for them. just take it back and ask them to remove it.

Just pull it off, it worked for me. I have nothing but good things to say about CarMax. I've sold one car to CarMax, and bought two.
