I would be hardpressed to find someone that says it was her fault, its obviously their fault. So I am going through my insurance for everything. I have a policy that allows me up to 30 dollars a day for a rental, but my insurance said to rent whatever I like and just submit a claim to their insurance they should be pay me out.

I rented a Ford Edge, since thats basically the most upscale car they had (I am not renting a malibu or HHR because I would rather not drive than be seen in that)

My adjuster is going to the body shop tomorrow and hopefully this will be fixed in a week so I can have it back for Memorial Day weekend. I guess my question is, could I submit a claim for gas money too?

The owner was not there, but they are middle eastern so they kept quiet, drank coffee and smoked cigs. Interestingly enough, when the officer on scene asked for their information, the guy wouldnt give it to him....makes you wonder

Gas money for what? Are you driving long distances to the repair shop? Or are you just talking about the gas you use in your rental? If you're going way out of your way to the repair shop, maybe you could try to argue that they owe you for that gas. That's a bit of a stretch though IMO. If you're talking about gas driving to and from work, and all the other driving you would have been doing in your car, then no way.
