first off its not complete carbon fiber, probably just some fiberglass hood with carbon fiber layed over it. secondly it just looks kinda ricey. if you are actually gutting out your car and using it for the track and you are trying to shave weight off the car then it makes sense.

You're going to spend mid to high 30K on a sedan to race it???
I'm sorry but that makes no sense...
If the answer is yes to my prior question then why not go with a full CF hood and truly get the weight reduction benefits...???

I'm not hating the hood, though I'm not sure it is something I would do.
Salut is right as far as getting a full CF hood if you are going to put any money into it at all.
Also, I would never buy CF via mail order or Ebay (unless it is from a very, very well known manuf.). CF pieces vary so much in clarity, fit , and quality that I would have to see this in person before considering a purchase.

the savings in weight won't be noticeable unless you take off 30% of the car weight off maybe...
have a great day!

I didnt buy the TL to leave it stock i'm going to mod the hell out of it.Drop the suspension,NOS but want to see other people or read how it does with the DBW.I would like to get a CF hood but not from EBAY.I'm getting blue underbody neons and when a front bumper comes out to my liking i be getting that too.Just because its luxury doesnt mean you cant mod it.I had a 92 modded prelude now im going to have a modded lux sports sedan thats gonna be looking sweet, clean and extra fast, just the way i like it and at the sametime enjoy the luxury features just like those IS300 and GS300-400 guys.
