In light of the recent horror stories regarding car washes, I have a question. Has anyone with the stock 17 wheels used a rail carwash (that automatically moves your car down the wash), and had, or not had the wheels scratched up. I believe most of the complaints were for the OEM 18s. I want to know beforehand before I take my car to one.

 

no the complaints were not just for the oem 18's but for the 17's as well(more complaints with 17 than 18). the el42's do not have enough sidewall protection for the rim. the 18 inch rim do not use el42's, they use yokohama tires. so if you are taking your car to an automatic car was with the stock wheels it might get scratched.
