Aaaarrrggghhhh!
I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but a good part of "Preventative Maintenance" on the 3G includes rubbing the dash (I prefer the right side of the instrument cluster pod) whenever she does something good for you and tell her she's a good girl (the key is to speak softly to her). It's all in the owners manual (chapter 8, section B sub-section 9q)

Well, you can get different grades of gas.
I had a friend who worked at a local station and he told me they put regular
into all the tanks, so paying for premium was just a waste.
They also put water in, to fuel their drug habit, but some people are just
greedy.
You have summer/winter formulated gas, something else to add to the mix.
You also have ambient temps and humidity, cooler moister temps
may give you another 10hp over 100F dry conditions, or maybe much more.

Haha, and I thought naming your car (which I'd never do) was crazy.
On a more serious note, it could be: 1. All in your head, 2. The conditions differ (i.e. temp, humidity, etc) 3. Engine temp, 4. Amount of gas in your tank, 5. You're going crazy.

Mine's been sluggish lately, but it's also been much colder, too. I suspect this is why I needed to add about 2-3 PSI to each of my tires this morning. Now, it's peppy again.

hahahahaha, awesome! Cars DO go through different "attitudes". Much like how you do. Your a machine like your car. I've seen someones atttitude affect a cars performance over and over. You are run by electricity like you car, I could postulate that there is a defenite interaction between man and car.

kk guys one more thing i fill up at the same gas station... so sumtimes it does and doesnt run like a beast and i know when its colder and drier its peppier but its been colder ive filled my tire a little bit more. and ita been 50 degrees and dry .. perfect weather but tis so sluggish wtf is goin on . engine temp doesnt make sense to me cause sumtimes i start the car and its godlike and others its sluggish. and sumtimes i stare and its slow then the hotter it gets the quicker.. UHHH SO CONFUSED

Mine always gets pissy when I 'window shop' the new car dealers I pass on my drive into the office.
God help me when I go to the auto show next month. Likely the Navi will direct me onto a dirt road after I had just detailed the car.

this might be a little akward of a suggestion...but i prefer to sit in my sits while there further back and closer to the floor, because im a taller person so i need it....but sometimes when im uncomfortable...i tilt the seat forward and raise the back and move it forward a little bit and it kind of gives u a better perspective in ur car....for some reason, i felt like i was going faster and the driving felt a little more solid....weird answer...don't flame lol

I find that when I buy my girl something, ie: oil change, new floor mats, a set of tires, a new air freshener, something, anything nice, she will let me ride her fast and hard all day and nite long.

you guys are way too funny
but back to the serious side...the ecu has many maps that adapt to your driving. when u take it easy for a while, it runs on a different map than if you are driving it hard. it takes a couple of minutes before the ecu can see that you are driving it hard. i believe the maps are mostly for fuel economy which has low shift points( for the ppl that has AT)

But you can always disconnect your battery for a while, reconnect, let it idle, and then go drive it like you stole it. That'll reset your ECU and learn your crazy driving style.
Or, get 6MT like Bounce said.
