Car Cover

Has anyone bought the car cover provided by Acura? How is it? Are there alternatives?

I was given the cover by the dealer as a "perk". I park my car at a residence when I`m working, so no chance of someone being curious. I use it almost everday, mostly on nice days, or if a light rain. I roll it up and keep it in the trunk all the time, so if it gets really wet I wouldn`t want to store it in the trunk that way. It fits perfect, has the "ears" for the mirrors, heat resistant material near the exhaust, and a neat "TL" logo on the front. Its`s good for "all season" if you like

I am thinking of using a car cover to protect my car overnight, as I don't have a garage. How long does it take to put one on at night? I am usually in a rush in the morning, and am curious if it will take more than 1 - 2 minutes to remove it ..

Anyone have an opinion on how well they work?

They are different types of car covers: some repel dust/no water, some repel dust/light rain, some repel dust/heavy rain, etc...

If you're going to use it outdoors in all climates, you'll want to ensure your car cover repels such weather.

I have one that repels dust/light rain and use it primarily in a large, below ground parking structure where the dust is terrible. It takes approximately 2 minutes to put on and less than 2 minutes to take off and stow inside the trunk. I love it and it saves me from washing my car when parked in the garage every week as I don't drive a whole lot.
