sounds like a good idea, but i would'nt know who would have the technology to track a car with NAVI, and it would have to be some really really high-tech shizz cuz tracking a car with navi, it's like keeping your eye on a specific bee flying amoungst a swarm of bee's.

If the Navi is receive only, not sure how you can be tracked, unless the location the Navi is giving you is also recorded somewhere accessable by someone. Of course Big Brother may be doing this without us knowing.......

It's possible with cell phones, but they send/receive. LoJack FTW?

not the stock navi- its a passive read only device, no transmitter

cell phones can be pinged and traced by tower location-if they are turned on

lojack is tracked to the inch from high above~

Yes, I can track the car. Give it back or I call the cops.

its pretty unlikely your car is going to be stolen unless you leave it unlocked with the keys inside, worst case scenario they get pissed that they cant steal it and do as much damage as they can

^Correct. Very unlikely due to our car keys have immobilizer chips inside that communicates to the ignition. Without it, it will not turn over.

They steal Integras for the parts, which nowadays are a lot more rare than our TL's.

Integras used to be the most stolen car in the country. I'd guess they're still in the top 10. There's a lot of money to be made in Integra parts because people with other Honda products are always looking to swap in Teg parts.

I read that the immobilizer chip can get bypassed if someone had the technology

If a thief had the technology to disable the immobilizer chip, wouldn't they go for a Ferrari or maybe a Lambo? I know I would

integras and civics (not the newer ones), are probably the most common cars to be stolen or broken into. my friends 96 civic hatch got broken into and they stole his sub and ipod. another one of my friend got his headunit stolen and one of his side skirts stolen. and i think most people steal cars just for parts. easier to sell integra and civic parts since theres so many out there. its harder with newer cars but it still can be done depending on the thief. i remember reading on clublexus, where a member went on vacation and had his IS-F, which was parked on his driveway, stolen because the car was towed away by the thief. the car was eventually found with a bunch of stuff parted out.
