Day-time running lights look bad
Day-time running lights look bad
Is there any way to change the bulbs to LEDs or something? The current day-time running lights look really cheesy, it would be great to be able to change them somehow. Thanks in advance!

there are 2 different ones that I know of. The 35w's and the 55w's. It's best to use the 55's cause the 35's will be too dim. 55's will be bright enough for drls. The other option is to throw hids in. I wouldn't put LEDs in for the fact that they really won't shine the way you want them to.

Those eBay ones are fake stay away from those. The amazon look ok I think I paid like $20 for mine at a store nit online and I do remember nokya's to have a label like that one. And there are low wattage ones cause my brother bought them and put them in his rl and weren't bright as mine are then he changed then to the ones I got 55w and now they're the same brightness.
I used these bulbs: http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...-p5168723.html
They don't give you an error on your display. They aren't super bright, but they do look A LOT better than the dull yellowish stock bulbs. I've had someone stop me in the parking lot to ask me about them, and another TL-S driver on the road compliment me on them.

It's a 10A fuse I think. If not it's a 15.
Look under the fuse box lid and it will tell you which fuse is which.
Yes, the fuse controls just the DRLs. Pull it and no more DRLs however you may get the DRL light on the ... thing. Gauge cluster center console.
It is in the fuse box in the engine bay. By the driver side, by the strut bar.

Help please!
Fuse is in the fuse box inside the car... Drivers side under the dash to your left. I forgot which fuse it was... Do a search here... Thats how I found it. And yes you will get that DRL light on in your gauge cluster when headlights are off.
Coop not sure if you drive a type s but if you do the fuse is inside the drivers side footwell like someone stated above....it's fuse #3, and it's a 15A, and it's blue, and at least for my type s there's no drl light or anything on after i removed the fuse...
I actually like how they look too. However, I don't like how they stay on when you park, or that they turn on when you turn the headlights off. I wired mine independent so I can control them better. Then if I want just my parking lights on, I can turn the DRLs off.
I actually like the color too. Pure yellow would be ok too. I think pure white LEDs make them less effective. The stock color makes the light stand out during the day better then pure white.

The bolded text is the whole point of DRLs. They're supposed to be automatic-on because they are designed to be on at all times to help with the problem of idiots who fail to use their lights in bad weather or who don't know to turn on their lights on two-lane roads where you pass over the center line. The two-lane roads are a major reason why Canada has required DRLs for many years now—they make it a lot easier to see an oncoming car when you're contemplating pulling out to pass. (It's always easy to spot Americans in Canada because they're the only people driving with no lights on.)
