Question - canuks- how much import fees?

I need to get some Front Rotors and Front Brake Pads ordered from the States into Canada and i was wondering how much taxes, duty and customs and everything would come up to approx at least?

The Rotors and Pads cost $309.70

and it needs to be shipped to:
Toronto, Canada

You better call UPS as it is the method of transport used by HeelToe (UPS Standard) and they do charged a hefty fee for filling in custom forms based on the declared value by the shipper.

Another way is to get a mailbox just across the nearest border crossing.

You get the astuff shipped there and you picked it yourself and have it processed at the border.

Best regards

I think that if you ask the shipper to ship it via USPS First CLass mail, there is no brokerage fees involved...only a $5 charge by Canada Post, you then pay that with any duties and taxes. But it is alot cheaper then what UPS and FedEx would charge.

Hope that helps.

hahaha...ok, I used usps and haven't had any problems yet. But the alternative is to negotiate with UPS or fedex/ whoever, the brokerage fees before hand....have it in writing and signed or else you could be in for a big suprise.

good luck

vet

you do realize that a package with a business return address and a customs form that says ~gift~ is a huge red flag and will get nailed and penalized or siezed!
