oh man..i was washing my car today and when i came upon the back bumper and noticed little specs of rust on the paint..i was like wtf is this crap...so i like use my nail and scraped some off but there is other one which i cannot remove..im like how da heck do you get RUST on a brand new 35k car especially on paint???

anyone else notice this?

gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow for sure...do you think the dealer will replace the bumper or what? there's this nick on the door itself when i bought the car and haven't brought it in....

The bumper can't rust. Its plastic, not metal.

Something either contaminated the paint or its just something stuck on the paint. Try a tar remover on it and see if it goes away. If that doesn't get rid of it, then its probably something in the paint.

im just scared if i use like a remover it will fade or mess up the paint since it is WDP

i never used any kind of harsh soap to wash the car either..and i dry the car COMPLETELY...

Probably rail dust. A clay bar should remove it.

More than likely it's from the exhaust. It's not that big a deal. Just use a clay bar to remove it like Burgman suggested.

Damn EL-42's!!!!! Must be the steel belts coming through....

On a serious note, Burgman is correct. It is rail-dust or something of similar nature. I have it also on my WDP (which shows up quite well..). A clay bar will take care of it, or have your dealer do it so if they dick it up they fix it.....

Rail dust or another airborne contaminant - I would use a mild cleaner/polish first, as clay can be more abrasive when used improperly. I had some dust on my car, and easily removed it with a mild cleaner.

Yeah that's raildust or industrial fallout. It's basically just tiny airborne paritcles of metal that lands on your paint and rusts. You can use a clay magic bar or mothers clay bar. It should come off fairly easy.

This is called "Industrial Fallout." I had this all over my M3 and G35 cpe. Use a claybar to get this off. BUT make sure you follow the directions with them. Your car will be smooth as glass again.

I have few paint chips by my wheel well on my 04 AND THEY RUSTED! I never had this issue with my TL-S. I plan on just picking up some touch up paint and covering them up. Your problem, however, seems a bit odd..........

I found a little rust where the body meets the bumper, on the side.
I use touch up paint to cover it up, if it keeps growing I'm taking it to the dealer as I think we have rust warranty, for some years.
