did it go "---"? my 04 did it within a month of buying it new. Dealer just un-hooked battery and re-hooked it up, cleared it and back to normal......BTW, you'll need all your codes to get radio and what not working again.....also , you'll lose anything stored in the mid memory...

Do some research. Seven weeks after buying my '04 manual TL, my outside temperature display flatlined. I let the car side in the garage for 5 days because I had cleaned it up really good for vacation. Then 36 hours before leaving, my battery was dead.. as in completely dead.
If your display has flatlined you will be at risk of a dead battery because apparently the ECU gets into a loop and pulls the battery down. Two remedies. Like one of the posters said, remove a battery cable (positive) for around 4 seconds so you don't lose your settings. Or remove fuse #7 (I think it's #7.. you may have to search this). Anyway, you do not want a flatlined display.

Search for dead battery; there was some parts that can be replaced to keep it from happening again. Another cause of --- is reading over 115F. If you live in the southwest, that could be it too.
