Can i get some HELP? Please

Car won't start...

Low mileage 07 TL. No known problems.

I'm thinking the battery is dead. I can get parking lights and my remote works but it won't turn over.

Any suggestions? It's parked in a garage and I take it you can't move the tranny without the ignition on. AH!

What exactly happens when you turn the key? Try turning the key with the lights on and see if they dim/go out. if so then your battery is dead.

Not sure what you mean by "you can't move the tranny". You can put the car in neutral and push it out so you can get under the hood to jump it. That's where I'd start.

Do you think that a battery charger would work?

When I turn the key the dash flickers and i hear the starter under the dash clicking. No engine noise.

I was thinking that the shifter was locked in park with the ignition off. It didn't feel like I could move it.

Use caution jump starting the TL!!!
It can be pushed out of a parking space in Nuetral with the key ON
to allow steering

READ the owner manual first for information on proper jumper cable grounding!
Never go battery to battery!!!!- the dead car gets ground cable to the body or engine. not its - post
if there is a short in your battery that protect both cars

NOTE: a dead battery puts the hurt on the alternator trying to recharge it~
The alternator is designed to replace what juice the car is using- not fill a dead battery

If you must do a car to car jump- Once started, do not use the radio- lights- stereo or cabin fan for 30 minutes driving to allow the alt. to put all its effort at the battery
Everything you turn on diverts electricity away from the battery

A parts store can charge the battery for free if you remove it,- then test it to see if internal problem
Should be warranty on an 07- get straight to the dealer if battery removal not in your plans
Acura was using some cheap batts and 05 06 were dieing left and right at the beginning of winter

If your headlights wont come on- there is not enough juice to start and run the car

if you have a battery charger put it on a slow trickle charge and try to start it in the morning.

lol i'm a child... i called roadside assistance which is actually free because of my mileage.

I guess they're going to come and use a jump box to jump it.

Do you have any things I need to tell this dude before he does it? Would a jump box require the same care that 014tl talked about?

The jump box is just another battery so it can be hooked up + to + and - to -

I just wanted to close this thread with some information in case anyone searches and finds this later...

My battery was dead. I was one of many 06-07 owners that was given the PIECE OF SH!T generic battery in my TL. John Eagle Acura replaced this battery under warranty without any hassle.

I have a powerful audio system installed and a V1 radar detector hardwired and I didn't receive any grief or trouble from the service department. I was expecting some resistance but the service tech made it sound like this is a pretty common problem.

If you're car won't start, take advantage of the 24 roadside assistance from Acura. I used it twice in under 18 hours free of charge. They basically dispatch a trusted contractor to come 'rescue' you and your vehicle. The service was AWESOME. I'm very impressed and that much happier that I bought an Acura.

Cheers and thanks a bunch to those who offered help!
