camel leather interior
The post I made, i think got deleted cause of the server crash.
I was just wondering if the Camel leather interior on a TL is the same as the saddle leather on a MDX.
Thanks.

I wish. I would have bought it in a minute. The camel, IMHO, is more orange than tan and contrasts with the black dash and door trim. In the MDX they use a dark brown, I think, as the dash and door trim color. It is very nice.

Yes I also think the camel has alot of orange in it. Still looks
pretty good though.
I have almost decided on a NBP with camel but also like the WDP with parchment. As I hope to keep the car at least 5 years white would hold up better I think.
I haven't seen any TL's in the Detroit area and would like to see some different colors as they are on the road.
If only I could make up my mind...

I have the camel interior. To my eye, the leather itself looks perfectly camel-colored, and not orange. What appears orangish is the plastic, like on the dash. It's an interesting effect, because the plastic matches the leather perfectely, but the surface is different. In other words, in my opinion, the camel color on the dash plastic looks a tiny bit orange, but if you just look at the leather itself, I don't see an orange tint. Sort of like how different papers can make a color look different depending on their texture.
I'm quite happy with the camel interior (DGP exterior).
Cheers,
Bruce

If I wasn't practical, I probably would have picked the Nighthawk Black Pearl with Parchment interior. That was the color scheme of my BMW, which I think looked really classic. The daily dusting with the California Duster wasn't too bad I guess - but when it was dirty, it looked really dirty.

Your icon does say alot. I do like the camel but have some reservations about
it.
I am also considering the white/parchment as you have. That is very neat. What's keeping me undecided is I have seen NO TL's here in the Detroit area. I gotta see one on the road.

I know we all have our own opinions, and none are necessarily wrong, so :
The camel interior was the one interior I knew I couldn't get. When a local dealer sold another customer the exact car I wanted, she said we have the exact same color with the nav unit but it's got the camel interior. I looked at it and said "no way, I'll wait for the next NBP w/ ebony". I almost took a NBP w/ parchment which also looked ok, but I really was set on the ebony interior. Another interior I really liked was the quartz, but I saw one on a demo car and it already had gotten dirty beyond belief.
Hope you enjoy your combo - just keep in mind if you have doubts, you'll be kicking yourself if you ever change your mind down the road.

I like the camel. I like the wood. The ebony seems too monochromatic for my taste. But that's just my taste. Everyone has their own preference, that's why they offer several color choices.
Incidentally, my boss rode in my car for the first time today. He said, "If I had to name this interior, I'd call it camel." I guess Acura agreed.
