camel interior

any of you all got a tl with camel interior?
I saw a deep green pearl xt with camel interior. Drop dead gorgeus when I first looked at the interior and the combo.
Then i realized something, the camel interior does not cover the whole interior. You have still have the black vinyl on the door handles and different areas. It seems like the camel makes the interior look more luxurious but then with the black vinyl on the doors and other areas makes it look like it is only halfway luxurious. The interior looks half done when it looks like this.
Any of you camel interior owners notice this?

I have the parchment interior with my white diamond pearl. At first, I thought the same as you, that the black part was tacky, but after driving the car for a while I have grown to like it and think it sets off the parchment very nicely. Also helps with reflections.

I agree...at first i wanted the black interior, but I think the parchment looks more high-class with this car. I also went with the Deep Green Pearl w/ parchment....BEAUTIFUL.....i did notice that it tends to show the dirt a little more...but a little leather cleaner and its back to being beautiful!

Off topic and not important enough to start another thread, but did you ever notice how bad the colors are in the Acura site where you build and price your car? Most are not even close to what the actual colors are. http://acura.com/bap/bap_step2.asp?F...MODEL=UA6624JW

yea, i found that to be disappointing...i guess they just want you to go to the dealer to get a real idea of what it looks like...

Drop dead georgeous is absolutely right!

All you'd need to do is what I'm doing to my green/camel when it comes in a few weeks. Add the wood faux kit (or portions of it) from http://exoticwooddash.com/bit3.asp (select Flat Dash) or http://www.woodtrim.com/catalog_detail.cfm?prod=6907. That's all that's needed to take visual attention away from all that black.

I'm going anthracite with camel but now I'm concerned for two reasons . .1) it being a high demand color and 2) the issue of the side panels not blending well. Although I have to say I have seen most in silver and very few camel interiors. I wonder if there are mods to the side panels that would offer a more natural flow of the camel. The car is not due in for about 4 weeks. Ouch.

I went with anthracite/ camel. I originally wanted white with parchment thinking that it would be better for dirt, paint swirls and scrathes. But my wife said it looked too old. Was at the dealer last Saturday morning. I also thought green with parchment, but did not see anything in 6 speed. I looked all around the lot full of TL's, just for the window stickers that said mpg for a 6 speed (20/30). Saw the anthracite/ camel and called my bride, and just pulled the trigger. Said to the salesman "take the antracite in for cleaning, and get me out the door in an hour as I had to take my son to basketball"

Acura has used 2 tone interiors for over 12 years. This year, they improved upon the theme by using blake on handles and dashtop. No dirty handles and no winshield reflections. They know what they are doing. My 04TL Red/Camel looks better than my wife's 01TL Red/Parchment. MUCH BETTER.

I also have Anthacite/camel. It's a great combination. I was originally going to get the deep greed pearl, but after seeing it in person, I was greatly disapointed. It looked kinda like a yucky greyish-green, not the deep/dark green I was expecting (or wanted).

wdp/parchment is the combo that shows the best the subtle details of the styling as well as looking the most expensive. only the camel/wdp would look better and of course acura doesnt offer it. they need to stop showing the car in silver or anthracite because there are better looking color combos.

saying that white looks the best is an opinion. many people would argue that black looks the best. opinions cannot be said with 100% certainty or accuracy

Not all of us are trying to make the car look more expensive anyway.
