I personally wouldnt buy from 101 West if you can help it, heard too many bad things about them and experienced a bad salesman myself as well.

This is a compilation of 36 dealerships in CA and 1 in Oregon

On a side note, supposedly my ABP/Q/6MT/Navi will be here in 3 weeks.

Date at the top is the day I ran my little search.

Dates next to a car are supposed to be Dealership Arrival Dates.

Its next to impossible to find certain colors in CA for a 6MT Navi and the website search is useless for finding a specific car. I was hoping to help anyone looking for specific colors of 6MT Navi.


PS: South Bay (in Torrance) has a Green 6MT Navi that is already A-Spec'd and they offered me $3000 off if I wanted it. Said someone from American Honda ordered it and then backed out, so its not even on their normal books, and therefore can offer a discount. For those that done know, South Bay Acura is like 5 minutes from American Honda Corporate HQ.

Interesting. Keyes told me last night they had an Anthracite/Quartz 6spd Navi. It may have already sold. I just bought a silver/black 6 spd (no navi) from them today.

I also got a message from Ali at South Bay. Sounded like they really wanted to do a deal on the Green Aspec. I am not an Aspec fan (very nice to look at but not for me personally) so I didn't pursue it too hard.

It was really hard to find a 6spd TL, much less one with Navi. I wasn't brave enough to hunt one down, or patient enough to order!

Valencia Acura has a SSM/Ebony/6sp/Navi with full body kit on their showroom floor as of Friday. I also has neurospeed(??) springs and was lowered 1.8 inches. Car is also debadge.

PS: I am in now way affiliated with Acura or Honda and all the information gathered in these updates is ALL done via the "Request a Dealer Quote" pages on the www.acura.com website. I have just scripted the process so as to obtain approximately 37 dealerships around CA minimizing overlap and manual typing.

If I had my way, I would drive down to Torrance and beat the webmasters with a wet herring until they put up a Dealer inventory search on their website thats actually useful for someone who is looking for a very specific car.

Casper, how do you get this info from the acura site? When I use "request a quote", it has me select the car, trim, and colors. The next step is to enter contact info. Do you do this and then wait for feedback from each dealer? I was assuming you were able to see a list of inventory directly from the acura site. If I go to each dealer's web site, I can often use their inventory query, but that doesn't typically show ETAs like you have in your list.

Runopenloop, PM Casper, and he has a progam that is easy to follow. That should get you the information you need.

On the page AFTER you enter all your personal information, you get a list of the 5 closest dealers (regardless of model matches to your query).

Click the "Check Dealer Inventory" button next to a dealer's name. If the Dealer matches all the FACTORY options like 6MT/5AT and NAV/noNav the car will show up, even in the wrong colors.

All I've done is scripted this process so I open 12 (was 8) different Addresses which gets me around 50 dealerships results. Then I manually click the Check Dealer Inventory button on each page, get results, hit back, click the next dealer's inventory button, etc. 5 times per page, 10 pages total.


What bugs the crap out of me is there is no way to search dealer inventory for the exact car ou want, irregardless of location. If I do end up getting my car from Torrance (Where I have my Deposit), I was thinking of dropping by the AHM HQ and asking to speak with their web people.

Now whats even worse, is in the exact same corporate location, is where the Acura Customer Service Toll Free number rings through to, and even they dont have any way to search this database. The website does, the dealers do, but Acura CS does not. Effectively Acura CS doesnt want to deal with you until AFTER you have actually purchased your car.


PS: The Pricing Summary Page can be bookmarked to save you the trouble of walking through the Build a TL Wizard every time. For instance, this link is a 6MT/NAV/ABP/Quartz. Thats part of my script on how I cut down time spent.

I am NOT clicking on the Dealer and Clicking Continue at the bottom.

PS: I am filling out the personal info form down to (and including) email address and then skipping ALL the rest..

I discovered what I was doing different. I was going to the main Acura home page and selecting "Shopping" and "Request a Dealer Quote". Or, I was going to the TL section and selecting "Request a quote". Both of these gave a list of dealers and a "(map)" link, but not the screenshot shown above. To get the above page I needed to go to the TL section, select "Build and Price" and then eventually I got to the above list. When reread your post about the build a TL wizard I saw the difference. Thanks!

PS: If anyone wants my ghetto azz script for all this, I would be happy to email you a copy. Its just a EXE from Microsoft, a pair of CMD Batch scripts, and then 12 text files (one for each address). PM me with an email address and I will zip it up and shoot it over.

I have found however that a better option is to call a dealer and have them run a report there. They can see cars that are further out than what the web shows.

I ran another report right now, didnt take notes, but saw alot of AM.
If you know someone lookin for an AM (6MT Navi of coure), tell them to start calling dealers.

I'm told ABP (Blue) will be the beginning/mid of August.
Pasadena will be getting one in, and as of this afternoon, it is NOT spoken for. Unfortunately the Sales Manager (who's name is escaping me) wont budge on the price (since its Navi). He offered to give me a deal on A-Spec'ing it though.

Is it wise to buy a 04' now and if so would there be a price budge on it ? Whats the Bluebook for a 04' after depreciation for the year? I dont want to pick on up and 1 month later its dropped due to depreciation for the year by 5 Grand. I know there are some available and one available in Palo Alto - but not sure if I should go out and work for it if they cant budge to even close of what depreciation will be after the 05's come out.

IMHO, if you havent placed an order yet and your not in a rush to get a new one, I would just wait. If your looking for a NAVI, most places arent budging on price, so you might have some flexibility in an 04 Non-NAVI in the next few months or so.

He stated he will do the best he can. If you were in my shoes what price would you aim for, Considering the 05's are out in a couple months.

That was how i came across my TL. I've been talking to the fleet/internet sales manager at oakland acura online for about 2 months. I didn't order one or nothing, just playing the waiting game. Then all of a sudden he informs me that the exact one I want became available. I snatched it up in a heartbeat. No waiting involved. I was on cloud 1243453412.

So I realized tonight what a dumb ass I am. Since the stupid $200 HPTs are a Factory option and not a DIO, my search engine I have been using all along wasnt showing any HPT equipped 6MT NAVIs.

So any future searches will be run twice. Once without HPTs and once with.

Casper, why do you say you wouldn't recommend Acura 101 West....I had a great experience there? What horror stories have you heard about them?

Most people I talk to say their sales people come off snobby.
Several people have also told me their service bay is a joke, and they take a week to do what any competent serice bay can do in a day.

I personally went down there looking for a TL with plans to add an A-Spec.
I was told "you'd be better off going to one of thoe dealers further south, where they do that kind of thing". The guy said it in such a way you thought I was asking if he would install 13" gold Daytons on the thing. Then he said he would call me in a few days (was a weekend, he said by the next tuesday afternoon) to let me know what their allocations were going to be that week. Never heard from him or the dealership ever again.
