Most people clean theirs every year. I'd probably say every 4 to 6 months would be ideal to clean the filter not hurting anything by giving it a good cleaning when you can. Most auto parts store sell a cleaning kit to clean the filters. What kind of filter is it?

im not familiar with the name or types of filter. but i think its a dry flow ? its an injen intake. maybe a cone filter? the bottom doenst have a hole though. just a cone shape. but what else could be the cause of slower throttle response and loss of power?

What year is your TL and how many miles? Perhaps the fuel filter is dirty.

Wow, that's it? I'd take it to the dealership. It's still under warranty. The CAI air filter should last you a good year, at least.

really interesting, where did you get the CAI installed????
was it from the dealer??? or from another shop. if it is the dealer then just bring it back.

sometimes people oiled their filter too much and it makes the thorttle body and intake runners all gunky. but if its a dryflow then it might be somethin else.
good luck !!

i think you should just buy another filter, use it then clean the old filter so you can use it next time. then you wont have to wait for he filter to dry after you wash it. and you always will have a clean backup in your car. =)
