Cabin filter/6MT oil
1) Can the cabin air filter be changed DIY?
2) How many miles should I go on the manual transmission oil? Is that DIY-able, too?
Thanks/Gracias/Danke/Merci/Mahalo !

Yes, the cabin air filter can be changed by the DIYer.
ATP-Inc. sells the filter(charcoal coated, better than Acura).
They include detailed instructions in the box.
Check out their website www.atp-inc.com for a distributor near you.

One of the techs at Stevens Creek Acura explained to me that the cabin filter can be replaced without actually taking out the entire glovebox, but that you're supposed to remove the cover of the glovebox and reach inside to take out the filter. I don't know how this works as I've never seen any diagrams of this, but I'd be interested in seeing any pages from the manual detailing this procedure.
Also, if anyone knows how to adjust the glovebox, let me know - mine seems to hang lower on the right side so the lip of the dash sits over it. The tech said that you can't adjust that because it's just one piece, and if you adjust the other side to compensate, the spacing between the dash and the cover gets skewed.
