More to it then that. After you take grill off you have to cut off the middle beam of the bumber. Let me see if I can find install pics of mine,

Couldn't find my pics but basically this needs I be done.
There's no going back to stock after this mod unless you buy a new bumper. And you will need to drill open the holes for the clips that hold it to the top.

Yeah I would just cut just the cross beam too, that's all I did. The grille can sit on top of the rest. Cutting the cross beam takes away some of the structural rigidity of that area, so I'd imagine cutting less would be better. The disadvantage though is that you will get a 2cm gap on the bottom and it won't sit perfectly flush. If it has to look perfect, then yes cut the whole thing around. But just know as everyone has said, once you cut, there is no going back.
