Bye bye TL

Well 2 days ago I said goodbye to my 07' ASM TL. I purchased it in March of 2012 and just traded it in for a 2015 Accord Sport (6spd). The TL was a great car I got it up to 123k miles with no issues all I did was the regular serviced inclusing the timing belt. Having 123k miles the stock suspension needed to be replaced, front rotors were shot, tires were almost done, windshield was cracked and the passenger window motor was going out. Looking at all these things I was ready to trade it. The Accord might not have all the luxury features of the TL but I was looking for something with 3 pedals, better on gas and not a silver car. As I drive it more I will post feedback I need to hardwire my radar detector so if anyone knows where I can steal 12v from please let me know -

Pictures in the morning when its bright out.

Congrats on the accord! I'm sure it will treat you well. You could start a comparison thread or post some thoughts here, I'd love to know what you think of the new ride.

Ohh yeah and post pics plz :P

Congrats, on the Accord Sport(that's the sedan?) that would be the one I'd get. It's a sedan, it's a manual, and it's sporty. I hope if it hasn't been done already the touring led headlamps with be swapped out, and led tails if it doesn't come with them already.

Sometimes associate all models of a certain manufacturer together. Like they assume certain aspects across the whole lineup.
I don't know how many times I've heard "hondas are all _____" or "nissans are all _____"

No I swore off 2 doors unless its a GTR or better lol. I had a 2005 Mustang GT and it was a major pain having to move seats around lol.

Yes it is the 6spd sedan! It doesn't come with the LED tail lights so I do have plans to swap them out first thing I need to do is get my windows tinted I had 20% on my TL and now having none I feel like everyone is staring at me as I drive...I don't like that haha. I also see Rv6 makes a PCD delete for accords I am going to take a look at its only $325 so it might be worth the investment.

Surprisingly the 4cyl isn't underpowered at all, don't get me wrong I know it isn't the same as a 3.2 v6 but I was impressed.

Glad you're liking the Accord! I'd honestly never make that trade though...
But as they say, different folks, different strokes

I'm thinking about selling my TL and picking up maybe a 2012+ Accord in the future as well! How do you like it so far?

Yeah I love it there's nothing like driving a brand new car where everything is working perfectly. I believe 2013 is when they started the 9th generation body style so 2012 looks a little different.

You mentioned swapping to the led tails, but how about the led headlamps? Or, is that even a possibility?

I'm seriously considering getting a new Accord Sport, I like Honda and manual trans, but I'd have to be able to put the led headlamps in.

The lights on this car are significantly brighter than the TL I know with LED's you're going for the look and yes it can be done I read a thread on a different website on people swapping it out. The problem with Honda/Acura is that they work in trim level vice packages so if you wanted to get the LED lights stock you'd have to buy the top end model. I plan on swapping to LED tails/headlights and tinting the windows once I get back from this trip out to sea.

You should atleast do yourself the favor of test driving a 6spd sport, you will not be disappointed.
