Anyone ever have this? I was stopped at a light today and suddenly, a loud (3 on a scale of 1-10) buzz began eminating from the sound system. From all speakers, but loudest from the sub. The buzz is there even when I turn off the system. It does not change tone with the moter so I don't suspect a ground issue. I made an appointment with service to get it taken care of. In the mean time, to preserve my sanity, I pulled the radio fuse.

 

Was it a buzz that pulsed at different intervals? If so, it might've been your phone.

 

No phone was in the car. Noise starts the moment I turn the key to Acc.

 

If the buzz stopped when you pulled the radio fuse, then it almost certainly has to be the radio that is causing the problem. Sounds like there might be a relay in the circuit that is stuck, or a short in the radio itself.

 

I brought the car to the dealer...

Had them address the blinkiing check engine light @ high RPM's and the sound system buzz. I brought printouts of the threads dealing with the crank-angle sensor from this forum.

Result: Waited 4 days for the new crank-angle sensor to come in. Finally picked up today. They reported the stereo buzz went away after they unplugged all the speaker wires, cleaned, and replaced them again. No buzz, but halfway home I noticed the sound flat and raspy from the rear. The right rear is now blown!!! Back to the dealer again tomorrow.
