Smile Buying New 06' TL w/Navi in Houston,TX

Hello, I plan to purchase a new 06' TL w/Navi by the end of this month, and I want to get the best deal possible. If anyone has recently purchased in houston or surrounding areas, I would appreciate any advise you could give.

Thanks Guys

I'm not from the Houston area, I'm from NY. What I can tell you is that Acura has re-introduced, through the end of September, the $1000.00 back from the factory. Additionally, they have $1000.00 in holdback money coming from the factory.

While most dealers don't want to dig into their holdback money unless they have to, you do have a couple of things going for you in your negotiations.

1: The new TL is coming to a dealer near you in November, so the dealers are willing to do deals to get rid of inventory.

2: The dealers allocation of new cars for '07 is based upon the number of '06's they move in '06. This makes the dealer a little more motivated to deal on cars between now and November.

More often than not dealers are not willing to give up their holdback money to make a deal, but this late in the year you may get more lucky.

I would offer the dealer $31,625.00. That is giving you the $1000. factory money, plus $250.00 of the dealers holdback money.

Of course, it helps if you are trading something in, or buying something from the dealer in addition to the car, because that will give the dealer a little more to work with when cutting the deal.

Good Luck,

Mike

gillman acura leasing....

just leased 06 tl auto w/navi at gillman was treated great by keith. they actually called me last week to come in this past saturday/yesterday because honda introduce some new incentives for this month and that they could actually lower my payment $34/month (thats $1224 for the whole 36 months). when i went in i asked them whats the catch. they said "there is no catch we just want to pass the savings to you, so hopefully you'll buy another acura from us".

I purchased an 06 w/navi at the end of June. I ended up going with John Eagle. They gave me the best deal on the price of the car and the amount for my trade-in.

I paid $32,900 + TT&L for the TL. I got this price from several sources: John Eagle sales, Gillman sales and internet, Champion internet and Sterling internet.

I wanted to deal with Gillman b/c of my location, but they wouldn't budge on the new car price or my trade. They were $500 off on the trade and the sales guys refused to make up for it on the price of the new car. Their loss.

I never took the trade to Champ or Ster. Mc, so I don't know how they would have dealt.

John Eagle was a good experience. It definitely took time and effort to get what I wanted, working through the typical sales tactics, but I was patient, played he dealers against each other, and it turned out good. They were very qucik and easy on the financing (I did 3 years @ 2.9%).

Hope this helps. Good luck!!

Find your best deal in Houston then call Bob Cook at Sterling McCall and tell him you have a quote for $500-$1000 off your LOWEST quote (if your lowest quote is 31,500 tell him you have a quote for 31,000) and tell him you would really like to buy from him and can he match it? I did this and about 2 hours later he called back and said yes what day do you want to be here to pick it up.
