Buying a Acura TL in Maryland

Has any one bought a 05 manual TL with Nav unit?

If so what kind of price did you get?

Aucra West told me 35k out the door. Still shopping around.

That where i am buying mine from comes in in 2 weeks. I looked around and most other dealerships are about the same. Most are a little higher around here. What color you gonna get?

My wife and I got our 2005 Acura TL 6SP Anthracite/Quartz NO Nav back in November from Acura West in Ellicott City....we were quoted $34,500 out the door.

So it sounds good to me...you are only paying $500 more for your NAV compared to our NO NAV price.

They quoted me $36,500 for the NAV out the door.

I purchased a 2005 6MT/non-Nav from Acura West for $33K out the door.

So the $35K for Nav seems semi-reasonable compared to that, purhaps they can come down another $200-300.

Thanks alot for the help. Guess the price they gave me was the going rate.. Just guess i am not use to paying "sticker price" for a car.

What about upgrades, such a moon visor, etc? Do they come down on price with that stuff?

Got the 2005 auto trans with nav and had the trunk tray - wheel locks and all weather mats - paid 32500 - this included freight - check Edmunds.com for prices paid - you seem high -

I live in Columbia and bought my car in York, PA because of a great deal. I get my car serviced at Acura West and get a loaner car, so don't feel like you have to buy there to get the perks.

I have to recommend Pohanka Acura in VA. I live in annapolis and shopped every dealer in the DC area, no one would come close to the deal i got from them.

-May be a bit of a drive but save at least $1000 over dealers in MD.

I live less than 4 miles from Acura West but ended up buying at Tischer in Laurel (about 15 miles away). Their price was a little better, they gave me much more on my trade (matched Carmax's offer), and really bent over backwards to get the purchase done quickly. I actually bought the car during lunch one day and picked it up after work. I spent more time with them going over all the features than I did actually making the purchase. One thing that turned me off on Acura West was that they were too laid back. It's not like I wanted a salesman to follow me around like a lost puppy, but I would have expected them to at least ask if I had any questions. All three were just sitting there shootin' the breeze and when I asked to take one for a test drive they acted bothered even though I made it clear I was going to make a purchase within a week. BTW, I had a Maxima and liked Tischer Nissan service better than Nissan West service, but haven't had to try out Acura service at either location.

I too bought form Tischer. Acura West and Tischer gave me the same price. $33,200 for an Black/Black Auto/Navi. I had all the local dealerships quote me the same price including the York, PA dealer. So I decided to deal with those closest to me. I went with Tischer since Acura West was lowballing me on my trade. Watch out for Tischer as they were really asking outrageous amounts (more than MSRP) for dealer installed options. (I got the entire body kit). I had to talk them down on those and the others (mats and trunk liner) I just bought online. The thing that bugged me about Acura West is that their sister dealership (Nissan West) with which they share the same lot was going to give me a $1000 more on my trade. (I was also considering a Maxima)
Overall I was happy with my Tischer experience.

Its not worth paying sticker anymore. Acura West is also only a few miles from my house. I did a query on Edmunds for some internet price quotes back in December '04 for the 05 AT/Navi. I got dealer internet pricing from all the way up in Long Island. Took the lowest price to the Acura West folks (happened to be from a dealer in NYC - but they didn't know that) and within 15 minutes they matched it and had the deposit. If you do a search, I believe I shared the details in a previous post but the price was around 33.3k. The car was delivered on 1/15 and I've loved it ever since.

I live in Maryland and I could not find a dealer willing to drop the price so I went to NJ after viewing this website ! I dont have 6sp but I do have navi and it 33k out the door ! I doubt any dealer around here will beat or match that ! I went to Turnersville Acura . . . . Nice ride up and nice ride back ( all grins on the way back ) !

ACURA WEST SERVICE SUCKS. HANDS DOWN. DON'T EVER TAKE IT THERE. If you think the sales people are laid back. Wait till you meet the service people. They never call you back when you car is ready and i have taken my mdx in there for a reoccuring problem with the heat shield and they say its fine. I ended up fixing it myself. Then when go up there to pick up your car they act like they have known you forever.

If you do buy from Acura West be sure to fill out the coupon and print it on off their site (http://www.norrisacura.com/location/...cura/index.jsp click on special offer). I still think you're high too, shop around. Maybe try Frankel Acura in Cockeysville, MD

Man, this coupon is 100% worthless! You can knock much more the $200 off the list price by negotiating.

NLYTN, are you saying that you got your Navi TL for $33k, including all MD taxes and fees?

FWIW, it was without taxes, tags, etc.

With regards to the service comments about Acura West, I'll let you know. Set up my A1 for next Wednesday. They pitched a good sell on the teflon clear coat protectant and now I'll see whether they hold up their end of the bargain too. I just got back from a road trip to FL and the front of the car is covered with dead bugs. If, after they wash it, the bugs don't come off, I'm pushing for my money back!
