button question for owners

Hi guys, I'm about to buy and I came upon a stange observation....

In the brochure I have, there are a couple of photos of the steering wheel that show the buttons. One shows the voice command button and the back button, a two button cluster in the lower left part of the wheel, then another shows 4 buttons there.

Is this a navi vs. non-navi thing? What's the difference in what the buttons do? They look like they have the same icons on them except the bigger ones closer to the wheel also have the phone icons on them.

Thanks!

Yes, two of them in the back are for Voice Control system of Navi model. Two of buttons in the front are for HFL, for all models.

okay, thanks!

Do people with navis find it confusing/aggravating that there are two buttons that do almost the same thing? Could they have made them just two buttons?

Or do two sets make it easy because you push the button to talk to a certain device?

I can't wait to get mine and set it all up!

IMO, the front ones could be pressed by the thumb. And, you could use other fingers to pull the back ones. This setup seems appropriate and comfortable to me. The voice command and HFL are apparently made by two different companies and controlled by two varied systems. I have no complaint to this setup.
