Burned a hole in my A-pillar

Damn A-pillar was so steeply raked that I burned my cigarette on the inside lining. I almost came to a screeching halt on the highway! Now there's a 1/8" hole in there.

I axed my service advisor what to do to prevent the hole from getting bigger and unraveling since I've pulled a couple of threads off of it. He said just use nail polish and paint over that hole. It serves the same as purpose as preventing runs in pantyhose from getting bigger .

Imagine that. But the hole is still there.

Aside from the stop smoking replies, I would imagine that the material on the a pillar is something synthetic. Since you burned a hole in it I don't think it will unravel. It's like burning the end of a nylon rope to stop it from unraveling

Smoke is also absorbed by the leather and eventually it will turn yellow/orange and start looking like a G35's seats.

I'm sure you wanted all these stop smoking replies. What you do in your car is your business. Period.

Did you check to see how much a new pillar would cost? Can't be that much. Replace it and be more careful.

Hmmm, "axed" huh? So your saying to aren't educated AND smoke. Next your going to tell us you live in a trailer park and run crack for a living.

I hope that Acid realizes that you don't "axed" anyone. You may have "asked" someone something at any point, but you most certainly did not "axed" him. What's even more frighting is that he probably has been using that word his whole life. Probably heard one of those un-educated rappers using it and thought it was an actual term. Probably never even realized that it was nothing more than poor education. I guess he knows now...
