so yesterday i backed up into a parked car. i know. stupid stupid stupid . pissed me off. i guess i just wasnt used to our new tint. now ive attached a picture here. (no its not my car, i dont have a picture of it right now)



Now the circle is where it was actually damaged, the black line is where a part of it popped out of the molding or socket or whatever. can i just order the 05 painted aspec rear bumper kit and put that on? or does something else need to be replaced. and could you give me some quotes and what i should be looking at for part + labor. thanks

From the sounds of it, it appears as if you gotta pop that sucker back in, and get any paint blemishes fixed. Is it cracked at alll? If cracked, you may need a new bumper.

And no...Aspec rear lip will not cover that up. The damage too high for it. Hope this helps!

 

Describe to us what exactly is wrong with the bumper and the extent of the damage.....You description is extremely vague for anyone to have a handle on the depth of the damage done to the bumper. Pictures are a definite plus, and guaranteed to get repsonses.

if cracked, maybe it can be fixed. If just paint damage, definitely just get the thing repainted as new bumper covers come unpainted anyways.

If cracked in multiple locations and chunks missing, best route is a new bumper cover. Hell, no frame damage or antying of that sort, i would go to a junk yard or ebay and see if there is a WDP bumper and do it yourself. nice and cheap

... and definatly make sure you buy a brand new OEM bumper. I went the e-bay route (painted and shipped for $396) and it bit me in the ass. The paint was great, but the bumper was either redone or a knock off cause it just didn't fit right.

 

Who's wdp is that? I'm assuming that just be a demonstration since you are asking for an o5.
Same thing happened to me.. but my damages are worst than yours. From the illustration, it looks fixable... but can't tell for sure until you provide more info and detailed images

 

crack or dent... you can fix the side by removing the bumper and reinstalling

also the corner bellow the headlight is probably missing paint also... from nyc experience people seem to always tap my bumper

 

Sorry to hear what happened.
After backing in the garage in my old car a few times, and hitting the washing machine, I had the dealer add back up sensors on my TL for free, because I knew it would happen again. So far no bumps.

 

basically what had happened was the circle area had paint chipped off, it like went all the way down to the bumper. it bent a little bit, might be a dent, but i am pretty sure it didnt crack. the line has the part popped out just a little bit which might be causing the bend in the circle area. i will take pictures and post them tonight. thanks for all the help guys, i thought noone wanted to help me

 

Like others have said if it is a dent in your bumper (inside out bubble kinda thing) you can probably pop it out but may need a repaint. As for the other part, looks to be the bumper just popped out of its holder, look up the removing your rear bumper video to see how it comes off and how you can pop that part back on. As for the aspec, it only covers below that line on your bumper. Good luck
